Candace Bordelon is President and founder of the North Texas Middle Eastern Dance Association and is currently working towards her Ph. D. in dance at Texas Woman's University, where she has been fortunate to receive full support from the faculty for her studies in Middle Eastern dance. Candace performs under the stage name Karina Rasheed at local restaurants and at private events such as Arabic and Persian weddings. She has coordinated shows for Dallas International, Neiman-Marcus, and delivered educational lectures at museums, clubs, and schools in North Texas. She teaches weekly classes in Dallas as well as workshops in Texas and surrounding states.
