The Gilded Serpent presents
Artemisia

Artemisia started belly dancing as a young girl, in 1992. Today, she is a passionate and devoted professional performer and teacher, of both classical Egyptian and modern style belly dance. She has been taking classes and workshops with dancers in Belgium and abroad for over a decade, always looking for new sources of inspiration for her own interpretation of this ancient, and yet always changing and still renewing dance art. For Artemisia, belly dancing is full of joy and fun, feminity, passion and sensuality. It is always both art and entertainment.

Artemisia is the artistic and practical director of dance troupe (e)motion, a group of aspiring advanced students and professional dancers. She choreographs group numbers, directs the troupe shows and also performs as a solo artist, for both private parties and bellydance events in Belgium and abroad. She teaches classes and workshops for beginners, intermediate and advanced students in Leuven (Belgium), but also travels internationally. In October-November 2006 she will be teaching in Iceland.
