Recipient of the Global Woman of Vision, ADOS Lifetime Achievement Award, Best Choreographer IAMED and Giza Academy Best Instructional DVDs, Hadia has lived and performed through the Middle East where she studied and worked with many of the great masters including Ibrahim Akef, Farida Fahmy, Soheir Zaki, Mona al Said, Dina, Raqia Hassan and the National Folkloric Troupe of Egypt. Her understanding and mastery of the very soul of Raks Sharqi and her innate ability to weave the subtle nuances and textures of Oriental music into movement have earned her an international reputation as an exquisite performer of impeccable quality.
Hadia not only contributes to GS with her writing but also with her advertising dollars.

Her legendary teaching skills draw upon her multi-faceted 38-year career as an artist of Middle Eastern, Flamenco, Jazz, Afro-Brazilian and Salsa, as well as her 16 years as a registered practitioner and instructor of massage and manual therapy. She skilfully combines her knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology with her understanding of the peoples and cultures of the Middle East to offer a fullness and depth to her teaching that embodies her deep love and respect for our art form as it challenges, inspires and accommodates all levels of students - novice to professional.
Hadia has toured throughout Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and Syria, England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Jakarta, Bali, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, the US and Canada.
She also conducts dance-oriented tours with professional Oriental dance training and certified teacher training programs in such exotic locations as Mexico, Bali and Turkey, as well as throughout North America. A collection of 16 instructional and performance DVDs also make her accessible to students everywhere.
Hadia has certainly demonstrated her tireless dedication to her dreams, while continuing to inspire those around her to follow in her graceful footsteps.
