The Gilded Serpent presents...
Beth of Romani
Although Beth has always been interested in dance, especially belly dance, she was first inspired to take belly dance classes after seeing the FatChanceBellyDance video "Tattooed One." Four and a half years later, Beth still loves belly dance and is a cofounder of the Oakland-based troupe Romani.
Romani can be seen every Thursday night at Kan Zaman restaurant on Haight Street in San Francisco. Beth and the members of Romani have performed in numerous venues, among them San Francisco's Café Istanbul; clubs including The Justice League, Nickie's, El Rio, Café du Nord, Bimbo's, The Cell Space, and Transmission Theater; festivals such as San Francisco's Gay Pride Parade, the Folsom Street Fair, Burning Man Festival, and the Castro Street Fair; private parties for James Cameron and the members of Matchbox 20; and recently for a primetime Chilean TV special on urban tribalism.
Beth works as an editor for a market research company for her "day job;" after dancing, her list of favorite things includes reading, editing, and yoga.
