Zarqaa
Zarqaa is a lively and entertaining Middle Eastern dancer based in the Washington, DC, area. She has been involved in the performing arts most of her life as a dancer, actress, costumer, historical interpreter, musician, and production designer.
Zarqaa is experienced in performing Egyptian and American Tribal styles of Middle Eastern dance. She is noted for her rapport with her audience and her musicality. Zarqaa is currently a student of Artemis, and has studied with Yasmin, Faten Salama, Rhea of Greece, Morocco, Shukriya, Fatima al Wahid, Jamilla Al Wahid, Leila Haddad, Aneena, Dalia Carella, Momo Kadous, Saroya Kadous, Margo Abdo O'Dell, Suzanna Del Vecchio, Nagwa Sai'd, and others. Zarqaa first began performing Middle Eastern Dance as a member of Troupe Arabesque (ATS). Zarqaa has performed as a soloist at venues in Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey.
Zarqaa has loved eastern arts and culture since childhood. Her dance brings together her love of Middle Eastern cultures and music and her own irrepressible spirit.
