Viviane, also known as Vivi, is a Brazilian Belly Dancer currently living in Texas. She has studied with world renowned artists, including Mahmoud Reda, Raqia Hassan, Farida Fahmi and Dr. Mo Gedawi from Egypt and many great instructors from Brazil. In the US, where she has been living for the past 3 years, Viviane studied with Egyptian musician Karim Nagi, Canadian Belly dancer Hadia and Syrian singer and dancer Zein Al-Jundi.

Viviane teaches all levels Belly Dance classes at the Texas A&M University, including a class that only teaches choreography.

Born in Brazil in 1981 she has also studied other styles of dance such as Latin dances (Salsa, Mambo, Flamenco), Indian Classical Dance, Bharatanatyam, Samba and Afro-Brazilian Dances.

Viviane was a member of the Belly Dance group directed by Zein Al-Jundi, Bint El Balad Ensemble in 2004. In August of 2005 she conquered the 2nd place in the International Belly Dance Competition "Queen Of Raks Shaqi" in Dallas.

She is also the director of the Mundo Dance Ensemble, with 12 of Viviane’s advanced students. Viviane creates all the choreographies for the group as well as her student’s solos.

Viviane’s next project is the IV Belly dance Recital, coming in the spring of 2006. Past years recitals, all organized by Viviane, had great attendance and are welcomed by the city administrators. 2005 recital had over 250 people and she was praised by community leaders and city administrators for the event.
