The Gilded Serpent presents...

Sacramento, California

Shaking the West Coast with a shimmy more powerful than a California earthquake, Julia is one of Sacramento’s most promising professional belly dancers. Known for her spirited shimmies and vivacious personality, she has danced professionally since 2006 in the area’s best Middle Eastern restaurants, including the legendary Marrakech Moroccan Restaurant. Julia draws on a strong background of specialized training in Arabic and Turkish styles from many renowned dancers, including Ahava, Adriane, Amy Sigil of Unmata, Mina, Mychelle, Namira, Nyla Crystal, Zaheea, and more. Her specialties include the drum solo, and sword and tipping pot dances. She teaches group lessons at the Firehouse 5 Dance Studio in downtown Sacramento and actively campaigns for improved wages and working conditions in the local belly dance community. A former award-winning columnist and successful event promoter, Julia also publishes her own belly dance blog, writes press releases for other belly dancers, and promotes local belly dance events. Her tasteful and elegant performances are renowned by loyal admirers and proudly endorsed by the Sacramento Network of Professional Belly Dancers. Website:
