Iman

Iman's journey into belly dance started seven years ago on the advise of a very wise MD and Ayurvedic physician who said that belly dancing was the very best way to provide transformational healing. Iman began studying a variety of Middle Eastern dance forms under the guidance of Leea Azziz at Belly Dance! in Walnut Creek, California.

Iman is a passionate student of dance and is committed to her ongoing education in dance -- with weekly classes, hours of practice with her dance company Raks A'Diva and duet partner, and takes dance workshops as often as she can. Iman lives in Moraga, California, co-directs the award winning dance company Raks A'Diva, performs in the award-winning duet Imajin, and also enjoys teaching and performing.

Iman has an intense day job where she utilizes her BA and Master's Degree in Business Administration, but she gratefully enjoys the freedom of expression, the friendships and the personal growth she has gained in dance.
