Eugenia Chao
Eugenia Chao grew up in California as well as Taipei City, Taiwan. A student of various styles of dance, music, and martial arts since childhood, she discovered and fell in love with Middle Eastern dance in 2003. She now studies under Pennsylvania dancer and event organizer Fikriyyah.
Eugenia currently studies, writes, and teaches at Penn State University, where she is pursuing an MFA in creative writing. Her short story, “The Last Leaf,” won first place in the national Macmillan creative writing contest in Taiwan.
