Ligaya

Ligaya lives and dances in the Netherlands. Despite a background in African Tribal and Far Eastern ethnic dances, it wasn’t until discovering Belly dance that dancing became a major part of my life. Although I’m still continually fascinated by other dance forms (Flamenco, Bharata Natyam) I am, first and foremost a Belly dancer. And yes, I do insist on “Belly dancer” – a term I absolutely, stubbornly, and contrarily refuse to see as insulting or derogatory in any way whatsoever.
